The location is absolutely phenomenal. House is also fantastic. Daphne was quick and easy to communicate with at every turn. No exaggeration when I gave 5 stars all the way down.
This place was on point. We had a larger group in town to celebrate birthdays and Mardi Gras. The location was awesome, very walkable to the quarter and fun things in Bywater as well. Great for parade access if you are here for Mardi Gras. It was in a safe spot, there was an alarm system installed in the house. The interior was clean, roomy and comfortable. The back patio was lovely to sit and hang out at. The host was very responsive and check-in was easy with the key pad. Our group had a great time on this trip, we agreed we would love to come back again.
It’s no wonder that Daphne is a SuperHost! The house was exactly as pictured, immaculate and homey. Daphne provided our morning coffee and even had fruit and croissants waiting for us. She was very communicative and eager to assist us if we needed anything (which we didn’t because she made certain that we had everything we needed). I cannot say enough about Daphne or her home… HIGHLY RECOMMEND and hope to stay there again on our next trip to NOLA! Again, thank you, Daphne! You’re the best!
This place is right near Frenchman street (largely the best place I think to go out in NOLA). The house is beautiful and has everything you need for a big group! Daphne was fantastic and very communicative.
Wow, wow, wow! Where do I begin! The home it’s self was absolutely beautiful and the story of the home is so heartwarming. I wish I could learn more about the history of this home and see vintage photos of it it is absolutely beautiful and very well kept. The layout is perfect. The patio was a relaxing hangout. The location was wonderful your right next to all of the action of Frenchman street BUT it feels like you can hardly hear any of the action when you’re in the home or even on the patio but as a kind gesture there are ear plugs available. Originally booking our trip we wanted to be on bourbon street but couldn’t find anything BUT I think it was a blessing because Frenchman was way better and not has hectic! So many shops to walk during the day, close to the market! Has a stop on the double decker bus tour.. it’s perfect! The home was clean and had EVERYTHING we needed! Ms. Daphne was quick to answer any questions I had. The alarm system eased my mind which is important when being in a new city. Parking was not an issue for us and we had three cars, there are plenty options. I think this house was perfectly priced with all of the amenities and the location.
This place is a no-brainer. Daphne is a fantastic host. This place is a stone’s throw from Frenchman Street, and in my opinion, one of the finest spaces I’ve used for larger parties. Check-in was super easy. She was very communicative throughout the first day to make sure we were ok. The place was spotless, and great for hosting. Amazing brewery around the corner, and you can listen to the live music from the porch. I can only hope that I have another large party in Nola so we can try to book the same place again.
The Frenchman Street Guesthouse was perfect for our stay. We traveled with our 5 high school to college age children. The house had plenty of space for the 7 of us, lots of hot water for showers, smart TVs for downtime, and a ton of NOLA charm to go around. Beds slept great, we felt very safe and secure in the guest house and the best part: Music scene from Frenchman street is just steps away. We walked daily to the French Quarter and though the weather was super hot, we appreciated being so close. We drove from Illinois and parked our car in the paid/fenced lot next door to the house. Both the Garden District and Warehouse district were a short drive for our evening meals out. We could have cooked at the guesthouse in the well equipped kitchen but decided to eat the local fare and we only utilized the coffee maker which is also well appointed with an assortment of coffees. Thank you to Daphne for an easy check in and check out process and for being available for any questions. She also had a simple breakfast waiting for us as we arrived late on check in day. We will return over and over again. It was just our style.
What an amazing trip we had! We could not have asked for, or found, a better place to stay! Three generations of a family staying together in one house for Thanksgiving sounds as if it would be the makings of a disastrous comedy, but it couldn’t have been any more comfortable or convenient. Daphne was an exceptional hostess and Music Lover’s Dream was exactly that! We had easy access to everything New Orleans has to offer and during our down time, we were completely comfortable relaxing at the house, on the porch or the patio! We are already planning a return trip!
Wow! What an awesome location to be in! Everything was walking distance – Street car, restaurants, shopping, and after all that walking, there are quite a few foot massage places too and we did partake! We all thoroughly enjoyed the house and the location. Everything you need is there. Beds are comfy, everything is clean, and fridge even had some refreshments for us. We liked having a regular coffee pot along with the Keurig, and there is plenty of coffee onsite too! The back patio was great for morning coffee and cocktails in the evening.
New Orleans is the one of the most unique cities on the planet. This residence is not only a place that you can experience New Orleans living but it also is located in the middle of what makes New Orleans unique. It is very rare to find such an exquisite residence in the middle of the heart of a city. You can sit on the front porch and feel the music of the local clubs or walk a few blocks to the greatest food in the world. Just having a perfect location is wonderful, but to have the provided accommodations is a musician’s dream. This house checks off every 5 star ingredient that you would want with a special New Orleans stay.
