Homage to a Great Lady
New Orleanian native and 2013 owner of Frenchmen Street Guesthouse, Lisa Sins, loved everything about New Orleans. She was the “hostess with the mostess” and had a keen eye for up and coming neighborhood hot spots in the city.
She and her husband purchased Frenchmen Street Guesthouse in 2013. Lisa envisioned this charming, Eastlake style home as the perfect location where visitors could have a place to rest while just being steps away from all the activities, music and festivities of Frenchmen Street.
Just as she began transforming this hidden gem, Lisa received the unfortunate news her breast cancer had metastasized. With constant and aggressive treatment, she passed away in March 2015.
She had decided to give this property to her niece, Daphne Childress, current owner.
Daphne is honoring Lisa by continuing her vision to transform Frenchmen Street Guesthouse to the best it can be. Structural and decorative improvements have been ongoing. Lisa loved life and all things New Orleans! She celebrated life to the fullest.
In honor of Lisa, our guest rooms reflect her favorite New Orleans icons. The colorful accents throughout the Guesthouse mirrors her personal taste and extravagance! The kitchen has recently been updated to honor her love of entertaining. Lisa’s career in the New Orleans’ hospitality industry, culminated 25 plus years at Arnaud’s Restaurant in the French Quarter as Director of Sales and Marketing.
Lisa’s love of New Orleans and Frenchmen Street Guesthouse is helping us continue this transformation every step of the way. Thank you for being a part of the celebration!
